Our story
We didn’t build another music platform. We built one for Africa.
Beat Circle exists to help African artists grow their audience, own their journey and build lasting careers in an industry that often overlooks them. Discovery 10 is where it starts: a weekly spotlight on ten emerging artists, chosen by editors and amplified by fans.
Discovery 10
Weekly, editorial, free to enter. The voting is a community moment, not a contest.

Streaming, communities, live, tipping and a creator studio. It’s being built now, and the people who show up early shape it.

Where it started
The problem we refused to ignore.
Afrobeats fills playlists from Toronto to Tokyo. Amapiano packs clubs in Berlin. Afro-drill echoes through London boroughs. Yet the artists behind these sounds still fight for royalties through platforms built for Western markets, with algorithms that barely see them and monetisation tools that weren’t designed with them in mind.
Beat Circle was built by someone who lived this, watching talented Nigerian artists with genuine followings still struggling to turn their music into sustainable income. The tools existed. The infrastructure didn’t. We decided to change that.
We’re not just another streaming platform. We’re the first music ecosystem engineered specifically for African artists’ discovery, community and fan-powered income, all in one place.
Our mission
“To give every African artist the tools, the audience and the income they’ve always deserved, without asking permission from an industry that was never built for them.”
What we stand for
The principles we build on.
- 01
Artist-first, always
Every feature, every policy, every decision starts with one question: does this give artists more power, more income and more creative freedom?
- 02
Community is infrastructure
Fans aren’t just listeners. They’re patrons, advocates and co-creators. We build tools that turn passive audiences into active communities.
- 03
Borderless by design
African music moves the world. Beat Circle exists to help the artists behind it reach audiences everywhere.
- 04
Real money, real fast
Weekly payouts. Zero platform fee for founding artists for a full year. Artists should eat from their work, not wait months for a wire transfer.
- 05
Culture, not content
Afrobeats, Amapiano, Afro-drill and Highlife are not “content categories”. They are living cultures, and we treat them accordingly.
- 06
Built to last
We’re not building a hype moment. We’re building the infrastructure for African music’s next decade, one founding artist at a time.
What Discovery 10 is, and is not
Discovery 10 is an editorial feature. Our editors choose ten emerging artists each week and fans help amplify them with one vote. It is not a competition: there are no entry fees, no prizes decided by votes, and sponsors never buy a position. If two artists finish level, the one who reached that total first ranks higher.

Edmund grew up watching Nigerian artists create music that moved the entire world, and then watching those same artists struggle to see a fair fraction of the value they created. The gap wasn’t talent. It wasn’t ambition. It was infrastructure.
“If Afrobeats can sell out stadiums on every continent, why is the average Nigerian artist still broke? The answer wasn’t a mystery. The tools were built for someone else. So I built our own.”
Beat Circle is the result of that question: a platform where discovery, community and income aren’t three separate battles an artist has to fight alone.
The bigger picture
Africa creates the culture. Now it’s time to own it.
The global music industry’s fastest-growing sounds come from Africa. Beat Circle exists to close the gap between cultural influence and economic power.
